VANDALISM by Jamalee Jarvis
Vandalism is when someone damages or destroys someone else’s property on purpose. It can happen in places like schools, homes, farms, businesses, parks, and other public areas. Some examples of vandalism are breaking windows, damaging fences, writing on walls, breaking lights, or destroying plants and crops. Vandalism can cause a lot of problems for people because they may have to spend money to fix or replace the things that were damaged.
For farmers, vandalism can be even harder because someone could damage their crops, fences, tools, water systems, or farm buildings. Farmers work hard and spend a lot of money taking care of their farms, so having someone damage their property can be very upsetting.
Vandalism can also make people feel unsafe and worried. Everyone should respect other people’s property and understand that damaging things can affect others.
We can help by taking care of our communities, respecting people’s belongings, and reporting vandalism when we see it
