CDCED BAKE SALE A RESOUNDING SUCCESS by Carol-Faye Bynoe-George
On Wednesday 5th June the Community Development and Citizens Engagement Division (CDCED) hosted its first Bake Sale in the Doumith Building Parking Lot located on Old Parham Road. Available were cakes, pastries, pies, puddings and much more delicacies. Going like hot bread for only $10, buyers and supporters received a choice combination of assorted goodies for their sweet tooth.
According to Miss Dale O’Brien/CDCED Director, this was a fundraiser for the Centenarian Projects. “I am delighted with the turn-out and very happy for the support especially since it was our first but by no means the last. Our well-wishers and supporters are already inquiring about the next one. I would like to thank all the businesses and persons that donated to the cause and also express my gratitude to my small team of staff members for the very hard work and time they put into this activity”, Miss O’Brien said.
