AGRICULTURAL EXTENSION OFFICERS ON THE MOVE part 3

Agricultural Extension Division’s courses made available

There was a training course held for backyard gardeners and farmers on 7th March which hosted and facilitated by Mr. Victor Wade and Mr. Kenrick Francis agriculture officers attached to the Agricultural Extension Division.  This course, the first of many to come covered the introduction to Agriculture focusing on crop rotation and key cash crops.

The subjects presented were done via videos and power point.  There was a total of fourteen (14) participants and Mr. Wade reported that it was a very interactive session with lots of questions submitted by the inquiring minds that attended.

Upcoming are the following courses:

  • April 17th Pest and disease identification commencing from 5:00 to 8:00p.m.
  • April 24th Pesticide and Toxic chemicals commencing from 5:00 to 8:00p.m.
  • April 30th Soil Doctors workshop commencing from 10:00a.m. to 12:00p.m.
