CHSS Students prepare for Agriculture Science SBA

On Friday 10th March, the fifth form students of the Clare Hall Secondary School under the guidance of their educator Mrs. Nicolette Francis, Head of the Agriculture Science department did some physical activities for their “School-based assessment” (SBA).

Thirteen students were engaged in the slaughtering of broilers which was monitored by Mr. Kelvin Pelle, moderator for the Ministry of Education/Caribbean Examination Council (CXC). Another activity that was done simultaneously was harvesting produce from the school farm. This involved reaping, cleaning, weighing and recording of sweet potatoes, seasoning peppers and pawpaw. Besides, broilers the CHSS also rear layers that produce about one and a half dozen eggs daily.
