 Antigua and Barbuda is being represented at AgriFest in the Virgin Islands

Antigua and Barbuda is making its presence felt at the 2019 Agricultural Fair, called Agrifest in St. Croix, U.S V.I.

Antigua and Barbuda is fielding two booths –  Twinstod Enterprises and the Ministry Agriculture, whose delegation includes two Farmers.

The Delegation comprised Alvis Abbott – Agro Processor, Dorothy Pelle – Agro Processor, Katlin Dew – Farmer,  Fitzmorgon Greenaway – Farmer, Ryson Joseph – Manager ADC, Brent Georges – MAFBA and  Marcelle Freeland – MAFBA.

Twini Payne is representing Twinstod Enterprises.

 

The event is known to be the biggest of its kind in the Caribbean and attracts farmers from all over the region. Scores of persons look forward to the event to patronize a range of vendors for a wide variety of goods.

The theme of the event is “VI Agriculture: Still Growing in 2019”.

Among the main points reverberated during addresses from Virgin Islands officials was the importance of agriculture for the sustenance of life.

With Food importation at an all time high in many parts of the region, a call was also made for more to done to encourage young people to get involved farming and growing their own from an early age.
