The thirteenth meeting of the Open-ended Working Group(OEWG) of the Basel Convention is taking place in Geneva, Switzerland, from Tuesday 21 February to 23 February 2023 with pre-meetings on Monday 20 February. The focus of the OEWG work programme includes, inter alia, the:<\/div>\n
-Consideration of recommendations to improve the Strategic Framework<\/div>\n
– Development of draft recommendations to improve the functioning of the PIC procedure<\/div>\n
– Further development of technical guidelines inclusive of those on POPs, plastic waste and waste lead acid batteries.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
