It is celebrated for its unique flavour and significance to Antigua.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Antigua Black Pineapple is a highly nutritious tropical fruit it is high in vitamin C content, anti-inflammatory properties and also digestive benefits all mixed together with the sweet taste of pineapple.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Antigua Black Pineapple is one of many varieties of pineapple grown mainly on the southwestern coast of Antigua in the West Indies, which sets it apart from other pineapples. Despite its name the fruit is not black, it remains green until ripe and turns golden-yellow after harvesting, with a soft edible core. The shape and tender texture make it visually and texturally unique.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">While the Antigua Back Pineapple is enjoyable to humans, it is also liked by several pests like mealybugs, Aphids, Psyllids, Scales and Whiteflies. These pests can cause significant damage to the fruit and can affect the health of the plants. Mealybugs can suck sap from the plants leading to wilting and reddening of the leaves tips while Scale insects build up on the crowns of developing plants can spread infestations to the next plant cycle.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Antigua Black Pineapple known for its sweet taste can be used in different ways, either for food or even materials used in clothes.
