\"\"The St. Paul\u2019s Community Farmers Market is celebrating a major milestone today as vendors, organizers, residents and supporters gather at the Falmouth Grounds for the market\u2019s fifth anniversary celebration.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Running from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the event marks five years and 65 successful markets dedicated to community building, local entrepreneurship and supporting small businesses within the St. Paul\u2019s community.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Patrons attending the celebration can enjoy a lively atmosphere filled with local products, delicious food, handmade crafts, household items, jams, yogurt, plants and seedlings and much more. Several businesses, including Flow and INET, are also participating with informational booths and displays.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
The family-friendly event features prizes and surprises, activities for school children, a seniors\u2019 chill-out section and entertainment throughout the day, making it an outing for all ages.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Committee member and vendor Angela Burton said the market has become more than just a place to sell goods, describing it as a true community effort. Since retiring, Burton has dedicated her time to helping organize the market while also preparing and selling meals for patrons.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Organizer Cleon Athill explained that the farmers market was born during the COVID-19 pandemic as a way to bring the community together during difficult times.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\u201cThe community was very concerned about COVID. People were home, scared, laid off from work and there wasn\u2019t much happening. We started asking ourselves what we could do as a community to support one another, and the farmers market came out of that conversation,\u201d Athill explained.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
She noted that the market began with 29 vendors and has continued to grow over the years, with some editions attracting nearly 50 vendors. Today\u2019s anniversary celebration has brought together even more participants and supporters.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Athill also highlighted the importance of encouraging young people to appreciate agriculture, community involvement and local entrepreneurship. Schools were invited to participate in the celebration to foster interaction between generations and strengthen community connections.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
The event also includes a dedicated seniors\u2019 section in collaboration with the National Parks Authority, providing a comfortable space for older residents to relax, socialize and share stories.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Organizers are encouraging the public to come out with their families and friends to support local vendors and celebrate the growth of the community market initiative.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

With plenty of food, shopping, entertainment and activities available throughout the day, the St. Paul\u2019s Community Farmers Market promises to be a memorable celebration of community spirit and local success.<\/div>\n
