Participants from Antigua that represented with her were: Nijah St. Rose, Rexford \u2018Rexy\u2019 Rhodes, Sylvinita Charles and Denisha Jeremy.<\/p>\n<p>The Seminar on Demonstration and Promotion of new Vegetable Varieties and Cultivation Technologies was an eye opener for all the participants.<\/p>\n<p>Additional Countries include: Barbados, China, Egypt, El Salvador, Gambia, Lesotho, Palestine, Pakistani, South Africa, Turkey and Uzbekistan.<\/p>\n<p>The team visited quite a few Agricultural sites and farms such as WINALL Hi-Tech seed company Ltd. In Hefei China which is the 2nd largest seed company in the world with over 23 years experience.<\/p>\n<p>They service over 150 countries with seeds, fruits and vegetables. Their main focus are as follows:<\/p>\n<p>1. Seed production<br \/>\n2. Extension of Agricultural services all over the world<br \/>\n3. Exploration and Innovation of Agricultural Diversification.<\/p>\n<p>The group also visited the Chinese Medicine Clinic at Anhui University of Chinese Medicine.<\/p>\n<p>And<\/p>\n<p>The \u2018Liu Yipen Organic Vegetable Planting Base\u2019 in Dayang Town, Luyang District to name a few.<\/p>\n<p>Agricultural Lectures attended included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Team building<\/li>\n<li>General overview of China and their Agricultural Practices.<\/li>\n<li>Adherence to people centered development philosophies.<\/li>\n<li>Diagnosis and Management of Vegetable Diseases.<\/li>\n<li>Aquatic Vegetable Cultivation Techniques.<\/li>\n<li>Application of Molecular Markers in Vegetable Breeding.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The team were taken to a number of historic locations such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Great Wall<\/li>\n<li>The Birds Nest<\/li>\n<li>The Temple of Heaven<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The team leader says the trip was a boost in their interest to assist others in improving Agriculture in our twin island state and to also assist with food security.<\/p>\n<p>The organizing team in Antigua and also in China did an excellent job in ensuring that our trip was a memorable and productive
