The Ministry of Agriculture\u2019s interns recently visited NATO Enterprise, owned and semi-operated by Mr. Livingston Morgan. The day began with an informative session on young layer chickens, where interns learned about the different stages of growth of the layers and egg production. They even got the chance to collect freshly laid eggs and assist in washing them, gaining insight into the daily operations of a poultry facility.<\/p>\n

Following the poultry session, the interns were divided into three groups and assigned the task of planting cassava trees. The activity proved to be a bit of a challenge due to the rocky terrain, which made digging difficult. Nevertheless, the groups persevered and completed their planting tasks with teamwork and determination.<\/p>\n

The visit concluded with a tour of the farm, where Mr. Morgan shared his various agricultural and personal ventures and also shared valuable advice on farming in difficult conditions. The experience offered a well-rounded look at both poultry and crop production, reinforcing the interns\u2019 understanding of Antigua and Barbuda\u2019s agricultural dynamics and landscape.<\/p>\n
