Well! we are about to explore the wonderful works in Agriculture.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some different\u00a0types of \u201ctraditional\u201d agricultural activities\/ practices\u00a0worldwide:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shifting Cultivation<\/li>\n<li>Nomadic Herding<\/li>\n<li>Livestock Ranching\/Pastoral\u00a0Farming<\/li>\n<li>Commercial Plantations<\/li>\n<li>Mixed\u00a0Farming<\/li>\n<li>Specialized Horticulture<\/li>\n<li>Subsistence\u00a0Farming<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Shift Cultivation <\/strong>is land used for a temporary or short term for food production or cultivation purposes.\u00a0 The area is usually used until it shown signs of exhaustion.\u00a0 Then it is abandoned and a new area is used.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nomadic Herding <\/strong>is an extensive form of farming done by Nomads. \u00a0Nomads move around a lot, traveling from area to other area Animals would graze on pastures but keep constantly migrating to other areas due to availability of vegetation and water or climatic change.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Livestock Ranching\/Pastoral Farming <\/strong>is the rearing of a large quantities of animals reared for commercial purposes such as for labour, meats, eggs, milk and hides.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Commercial Plantations <\/strong>is farming on a large scale and on large areas. The areas are laid out in blocks usually according to the age of the vegetation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Mixed Farming <\/strong>is cultivating land for growing crops and the raising of livestock at the same time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Subsistence Farming<\/strong> is growing food for the farmer, his families and small households.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Intensive Subsistence Farming <\/strong>is the farming on a small area but the food production is maximized.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Agri youth \u00a0 Have you ever wondered about Agriculture?\u00a0 About how many different types of agricultural practice are there?
